I typed an essay about my ns life, but erased it because i didn’t want to get into trouble with XXX. I pretty much censored everything sensitive, but still i am that humji enough not to post.

Well i just want to add, i wasted 3498537485 years trying to complete that bloody myORD quiz and survey to which was quite informative but nonetheless useless.

My views on NS never wavered, i still think i can manage these 2 years more properly than giving it to the government to manage. I don’t think NS is a bad thing, it definitely opened me to the good and bad of people inside the organization. But wa lau, mai la.

Applied what i’ve learned in the army.

Just yesterday my mum asked me to help a neighbor lodge a police report online for a case of conman leeching her of $100(?). The reply i gave was a no even though i wasn’t doing anything. i just didn’t want to help. Its a matter of “don’t make your problem my problem when you actually can solve it yourself”. When i am enjoying my afternoon doing nothing, i just hope everyone will leave me alone.

So much for serving the nation and learning lifelong values. But i actually like this new found self of mine.

Just to give you all an insight of what happened, this conman went around my block to say he’s from HDB and collecting money for the replacement of door grills. My mum was quite fierce when he came, and i believe he backed off because she’s quite du lan (i mean her facial expressions and all). So there’s this neighborhood police station just like 3-5mins walk away and i don’t see the reason why this neighbor can’t do it herself. So anyway, quite a few residents of my block was conned of amounts ranging fro 100-250. Quite a number of old people living here, so yeah.

Why the conman choose my block? Because HDB had to put up notices in the notice board that my block will be undergoing renovations for pipes doors lifts whatever la.

So clever.

So today i went to this tower opposite to Funan, in search of something which could improve the quality of my life.

I wanted to try out something called Fiio e5. Its a ear / headphone amplifier which helps boost the sound quality coming from the mp3. I’ve been reading about portable earphone amplifiers, very strange interest coming from mr buyao buyao.

I definitely cannot afford normal amps on the market right now. When i say normal, i mean budget ranging over $50 to $1k. Whats more i am very new to this, it wouldn’t be worth to invest heavily until i catch more balls. This is something which falls into my range and brings the most bang out of my cash. Rofl.

I didn’t buy it in the end, because i thought the difference is not noticeable and amplifications were muffled with my creative ep630. I think its because the ep630 already offers bass and deep treble, adding on to it doesn’t make much sense. This product has rave reviews, but i observed a lot of ipods and certain earphones users feel its a good boost to their music quality.

Have to mention, the poeple at Jaben are quite friendly. I asked to try the Fiio e5, the gave it to me and i just sat there for like 5-10 mins (some tables around for customers). Didn’t bother me until i returned the amps and asked me about my opinions when i finished. I mean, the feeling they give is different from other shops in Singapore. Without a doubt i will visit them once my earphones disintegrates.

I actually wanted to find that picture of the noob parking at Tampines 1, but neh mind got this also. Anyway it was in the Chinese papers. Cause a trans-island bus to stop service because it cannot pass and some ten over cars stuck in the “queue”. I see an increase trend of lady drivers on the road, which is good. But please don’t tarnish the reputation of the rest of female drivers, i know there are some who can really drive. But also i am guilty of biased opinion towards them.

I just feel the need to say something to the blue Nissan march lady driver: Please just stay at home. If you need to go out, take public transport.

I have an urge to buy a bicycle, because i suddenly got hweeling to cycle around. Maybe i am really enjoying this new found freedom of roaming by myself (actually quite long liao lol).
